THE Comedy Club KL is back, with the biggest laughs of 2012. January
sees three comedians: Canada’s Phil Nichol and Steve Northcott and
Britain’s Jimmy McGhie.
Nichol is an actor, award–winning comedian, producer, writer and
musician with a keen sense of fun and an eye for the shocking and absurd
that has cemented his position as one of the top comedians in Canada.
Northcott is a comedian, musician and documentarian who is a mainstay
on the Malaysian comedy stage. He has performed throughout Southeast
Asia and Canada. He enjoys taking his audience on a journey of opinion,
self-deprecation and the ridiculous.
McGhie is highly sought after as TV warm-up, working for Channel 4’s
Deal Or No Deal, ITV’s Loose Women, BBC Three’s Two Pints and Coming Of
Age and Channel 5’s The Justin Lee Collins Show.
Nichol and Northcott will perform at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Jalan
Imbi, Kuala Lumpur at 9pm on Tuesday. Tickets are RM99++ (inclusive of
three-course dinner).
McGhie peforms at Nero Fico, Jalan Dungun, Kuala Lumpur with fellow
comedians Youcef Banouni and Kavin Jayaram at 9pm. Tickets are RM30.
The trio will perform at PJ Live Arts, Jaya One, Jalan Universiti,
Petaling Jaya at 8.30pm on Wednesday. Tickets are RM43 and RM63.
They will be at Zouk, Jalan Ampang, KL at 8.30pm on Thursday and The
Bee, Solaris Dutamas, Jalan Duta, KL at 8.30pm on Friday. Tickets are
RM63.
